The most authentic Chinese food in the area. Jessica always greets us with a smile and helps us select new favorites every time. It’s a family type atmosphere which we so enjoy. Food quality and flavor is consistently exceptional. Service is always excellent. If you’re in the Cary area or can head this way, Tai Pei 101 is a must try! You’ll keep coming back for the fresh authenticate flavors! Noodles, egg plant, dumplings, all the meats. Try them all.

An amazing place for authentic Chinese food from many different regions. Although the name might imply that it's Taiwanese, the menu has classics from Sichuan, Hunan, Hong Kong, and Taiwan. I tend to gravitate towards the Sichuan, which is absolutely incredible. From the "griddles" (dry pots) to mapo tofu to chongqing chicken, everything is well made and extremely flavorful. If you love Chinese food, this place is a must. Parking can be an issue, but now there is a parking garage next door.

This is my favorite Chinese restaurant In the RTP. I’ve been coming here ever since I moved to NC 11 years ago. The food has been consistently fantastic here. Their spicy food is actually spicy…especially for a beef and potatoes guy like myself. My favorite is their house fried rice and hunan chicken. I got wonton soup for the first time on my last trip and it was okay. The service is usually pretty quick and I’ve never had any problems. The only thing I’d ding Taipei for is that it can get super stuffy during the summer when the restaurant is full. I don’t know if they don’t have AC or if it frequently breaks down, but it’s enough to trigger my claustrophobia.

Got a whole smorgasbord of food from this place with my buddies. Basically we got a boat load of items to share for the whole meal. We got the Soup Dumplings (which were good, not ultra flavorful, but they were fine), we got the Braised Vegetables and mushrooms (was essentially bak choy and mushrooms, the bak choy was good, the mushrooms were cooked perfectly), we got the spicy crispy fish (this was not my favorite, honestly just kind of a plain fish, with a little spice to it), we got the MaPo Tofu (I’m a sucker for tofu and these had a great sauce with it), we got the Beef Scallion Pancakes (these were by far the best), we got the Dan Dan Noodles (the peanuts added to this was impeccable)and we also got the jellyfish salad (this was a little grimy to me, I was curious, the consistency and taste were just not it though). We ended with getting some sort of pumpkin dessert (they were just ok, not a whole lot of taste to me other than the fried aspect). I also ended up taking home 2 dishes to go. I got the griddle intestines with mixed veggies… I was flabbergasted by how good this was, yes the name is definitely not enticing, but the flavors, the seasoning, the texture, everything wa

Super duper efficient service! Food is fast and tasty .. standard Asian style offering but really hits the taste and flavor ☺️ since we were at downtown Cary park we needed some belly cravings satisfied! Children enjoyed the general tso’s chicken .. scallion pancakes were good and so was the chicken lo mein.. very easy on pocket if you’re on a budget. 🫶🏼
